About the Vacancy:

The FSL Project Coordinator is responsible for the overall technical and operational coordination, implementation, and monitoring of the project. The coordinator works closely with the FSL Team, Project Manager, Technical Advisors, communities, technical departments, agricultural stakeholders, and humanitarian/development partners to ensure that interventions are contextually appropriate, inclusive, and aligned.

The coordinator ensures the effective integration of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), sustainable agriculture, and climate-resilient livelihood approaches throughout project implementation. Ensuring that project activities contribute to improved food security, strengthened agricultural livelihoods, and community preparedness and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the overall implementation of FSAL project activities in line with the workplan.
• Develop detailed implementation plans, activity schedules, and procurement plans.
• Ensure effective collaboration between FSL Program, MEAL, finance, logistics, and programme support functions.
• Ensure appropriate documentation of project activities, achievements, lessons learned, and good practices.
• Support community-based disaster risk assessments and identification of agricultural and livelihood risks.
• Technical Contribution to site assessments and consultations with farmers, community representatives, local institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Represent the team in coordination meetings, working groups, and stakeholder consultations as delegated.
• Review and Monitor expenditure/technical specifications and quantities for inputs, equipment, and other project-related procurements.
• Technical measurement of efficient water use and adapt irrigation and water management systems to increasing climate variability, drought, floods, and scarcity.
• Work closely and supervise site engineers’ technical inputs, site assessments, and technical field assurance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Agriculture engineering, Civil engineering, Rural Development, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in FSL, agriculture, livelihoods, DRR, climate adaptation, or integrated humanitarian/development programming.
• Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating agriculture and/or FSL projects.
• Strong Technical, analytical, coordination, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and relevant project management/monitoring tools.
• Fluency in English and Arabic.
• Strong understanding of agricultural production systems, natural resource management, and rural livelihoods.
