The project starts” the “From the Camp to the Community” project in Roj camp in Hasakah
As part of Salam Hope Foundation’s efforts to enhance protection, empowerment, and support for communities affected by crises, the “From Camp to Community” project was started in Roj camp, with support from the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF).
The project aims to enhance the resilience, protection, and psychosocial well-being of children, youth, and women by providing safe, gender-sensitive environments, providing psychosocial support services, and managing child protection and gender-based violence cases, in addition to trauma-sensitive positive education and reintegration sessions.
The project also includes activities for vocational training, literacy, and life skills development, which contribute to enhancing the participants’ capabilities and self-reliance, and supporting their readiness for potential return and reintegration into their communities.
The opening event witnessed the presence of a number of representatives of humanitarian agencies, partners, and the camp management, along with emphasizing the importance of cooperation and joint coordination to enhance protection, empowerment, and support of communities.
We extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to GCERF and all partners and supporters, and we look forward to continuing to work together to make a positive and sustainable impact in the lives of children, youth and women.
Together, from the camp to a safer, more empowered and hopeful future. 🤍
