We are a local, independent, non-profit humanitarian organization committed to empowering and supporting communities through essential development and relief projects, operating according to core humanitarian principles.
Established in 2015 as the Peace and Civil Society Center, our organization was re-branded as the Salam Organization in early 2023, and officially licensed as the Salam For Hope Foundation in Damascus at the beginning of 2025.
Our main office is in Al-Hasakah, with additional offices in Raqqa and Deir Ezzor, and a mobile team operating in Damascus and Latakia. We are dedicated to fostering lasting positive change across Syria’s Northeast and beyond.
We envision a cohesive and empowered society where peace prevails and every person lives with dignity.
Our mission is to foster resilience and positive change by actively combating social injustice, promoting gender equality, protecting children, and ensuring access to sustainable livelihoods and vital services.
Our work is structured across six interconnected strategic goals to ensure holistic and lasting change in the communities we serve:
Safeguarding the rights of children and youth through psychosocial support and safe spaces.
Strengthening community capacity, facilitating dialogue, and promoting harmony.
Empowering women and girls through safe spaces, training, and leadership development.
Driving economic independence through job skills training, small business grants, and agricultural support.
Conserving the environment and improving public health through access to clean water and sanitation facilities.
Providing quick, effective aid, including essential non-food items, emergency shelter, and crucial legal support during crises.

We coordinate our nationwide efforts from our main office in Al-Hasakah, supported by regional offices in Raqqa and Deir Ezzor. A dedicated mobile team ensures our aid and development services also reach communities in Damascus and Latakia.
Our actions are guided by uncompromising values: Independence, Accountability, Non-Discrimination, Integrity, and a deep-seated belief in Community Participation. We ensure every project is locally informed and executed with transparency.
